*SMSCS Biomechanics consultants require advanced training/certification in sport science as well as completed an extensive application process.

Biomechanical Specialists utilized advanced techniques to analyze and interpret muscular, joint and skeletal actions while performing sport specific tasks.  These Consultants may use the following to gain a greater understanding of individualized factors relating to injury mechanism and/or skill analysis for improved athletic performance:

  • computer modeling

  • video

  • GPS

  • accelerometry

  • motion sensors

  • force plates

  • gyroscopes
